Director Quality, Safety & Compliance

Location: Windsor, Vermont

Description: Mount Ascutney Hospital & Health Center is at present looking to employ Director Quality, Safety & Compliance right now, this position will be located in Vermont. More details about this position opportunity kindly read the description below.

Provides the leadership and oversight for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of the MAHHC quality, safety and compliance programs, clinical practice standards and regulatory readiness. Champions a culture of quality and safety through leadership, role modeling, teaching and mentoring. Develops a systematic, division-wide approach to identifying, designing, measuring, prioritizing and monitoring all quality management activities.

Serves as the Compliance Officer for the organization and acts as staff to the CEO and Board of Trustees' Corporate Compliance Committee. Monitors and reports results of the compliance/ethics efforts of the organization to the Board and senior management team on matters relating to compliance. The Compliance Officer, together with the Corporate Compliance Committee, is authorized to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance program.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor's Degree Required. Master's Degree preferred; one degree must be in Nursing. 10 years of experience in nursing, leadership, management and co nsultative skills required.

Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse in the states of Vermont. Certification in Healthcare Compliance required (or within 18 months of hire); Certification in Healthcare Quality desired.

Experience: Experience in program design and organizational implementation. Working knowledge and competence in corporate compliance, patient safety and quality improvement methodologies, tools, and techniques; experience leading and facilitating performance improvement teams within the healthcare environment. Demonstrated ability to function independently. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing with individuals and groups at various levels and various disciplines.
