The Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden and Grand Isle Counties seeks a skilled coordinator with experience serving young children and their families, supervising volunteers, and reporting outcomes to manage its Building Bright Futures Direct Services grant. A background in early childhood development, family support, and grant management is desired.

Description: Building Bright Futures (BBF) is Vermont’s overall approach to supporting our youngest children, age birth through six, to assure that they are safe, healthy and successful. Aligned with Building Bright Futures, the Child Development Division in the Agency of Human Services (AHS) grants primary prevention funds, called BBF Direct Service funds, for children under six years of age and their families. The Building Bright Futures of Chittenden County (BBFCC) Direct Services Coordinator oversees the region’s BBF Direct Service grant and the Welcome Baby, playgroup, early literacy, and transition to kindergarten activities it supports. The BBFCC Direct Services Coordinator recruits and supervises the 12 Community Development Coordinators who serve as local leaders in the grant’s implementation. The BBF Direct Services Coordinator is also responsible for two semi-annual reports to the Child Development Division documenting grant activities and outcomes.
