Gifford Medical Center in beautiful Randolph, Vermont, is seeking a Surgical Scrub Tech to work in our multidisciplinary Operating Room. This is a unique opportunity to work in a spectacular setting at a rural, financially stable, non-profit hospital with a progressive philosophy, supportive administrative team and advanced technology.
The Scrub Tech will Assist surgeons with a variety of surgical procedures. Functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital, AORN guidelines and with surgical services' standards of care. Hands instruments to Surgeon. Counts Raytec, Laps, and Needles. Required to work flexible hours and be on call nights, weekends and holidays.
The successful applicant will have the ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, high demand department. Effective oral and written communication skills along with visual and hearing senses to assist with varied operative procedures and surgeon's verbal directives are required. 1 year OR experience preferred. Graduate of surgical technology program or equivalent, National Certification for Surgical Technicians, and BLS certification required. EOE
