The Menig Extended Care Facility at Gifford Medical Center , named for the late Howard and Gladys Menig of Braintree, opened in 1998. This 30-bed nursing home located in the heart of beautiful Vermont is an outstanding facility and workplace and offers the highest standard in resident care. Gifford is currently looking for a per diem Licensed Nursing Assistant to join our award winning team on Menig's Extended Care Unit. This person will be responsible for assisting in coordination of nursing care for patients, serving as a patient advocate, assisting in providing patient and family teaching in a multidisciplinary health care setting. S/he will provide direct care to assigned patients in conformance with hospital policies, professional standards, physician orders, and approved plan of care. The nursing process will be utilized in the provision of patient care. S/he will function within limits of Vermont Nurse Practice Act, Code of Ethics for Nurses, guided by Standards of Clinical Nursing Practice, hospital and nursing department policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned! . Current LNA licensure by the State of Vermont required. High school diploma and graduate of a State of Vermont approved Nurse Assistant training program. EOE
