The Visiting Nurse Association is seeking an LNA to deliver a wide range of basic care to individual Adult Home Care clients in their homes. This position calls for the ability to be organized, manage self and resources effectively and the ability to communicate well with patients. Working hours are generally 8am to 2:30pm weekdays, with some weekends required.

Qualifications:
Current Vermont Licensed Nursing Assistant license, basic education (high school), with previous experience in nursing home or similar facility desired, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.  Knowledge of physical, emotional, developmental needs of and ways to work with population served by home health agency.  Ability to communicate and interact effectively with individuals and groups.  Ability to identify emergency situations and act appropriately to provide assistance.  Ability to work independently in private homes under the supervision of a licensed RN, PT.  Ability to travel extensively in order to conduct home visits.  Physical ability to perform all personal care activities and other essential job duties per current agency standards (Refer to LNA Physical Demands form).  Ability to complete additional training appropriate to the job prior to assignment.  Possession of current driver's license with a relatively clean driving history and the use of a dependable registered and insured car.  Automobile Bodily Injury Liability insurance with coverage amounts of $100,000 per person, $300,000 per accident.
