This process is intended to help improve and achieve these goals.We have a part-time school nurse position available as of January 2, 2014. We may schedule work for a few days the week before the December break to allow for overlap with current school nurse.
The opening is regularly a 0.48 FTE position but temporarily includes an additional 0.12 FTE piece for the remainder of this year onlyâ€"for a total 0! .6 FTE position.Position is a teacher contract position with our school district. Benefits are available with this position.QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE: The following are Required: •Licensed or eligible for Vermont Educators License endorsement - School Nurse, 3-65.•Bachelors in Science in Nursing. •Licensed four-year RN with CPR and First Aid certifications.•Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.• Evidence of strong commitment creating equitable, multicultural learning environments that are inclusive of, but not limited to: diverse races, ethnicities, places of national origin, citizenships, genders, sexual orientations, religious and spiritual beliefs, ages, physical and learning abilities, and economic class backgrounds.•Evidence of cultural competence, as demonstrated through experiences working in diverse, multicultural learning environments or through the creation and implementation of curriculum or training initiatives.•Completed SchoolSp! ring application, including 3 letters of recommendation.•Proficiency ! in computer applications• Knowledge of nursing best practices •Experience working with children and families•Evidence of strong connection with students and families• Experience working with English Language Learner children•Experience providing health and wellness instructionSALARY: As per the Master Agreement between the Burlington Board of School Commissioners and the Burlington Education Association.PROCEDURE: Apply on-line through SchoolSpring.com.
