The Midwife will be responsible for monitoring maternal condition during labor; checking vital signs, monitoring contractions, performing examinations. Provide comfort and relaxation measures for mothers such as breathing techniques, massage, hydrotherapy, etc. Ensure birthing environment is clean, safe and appropriately supplied. Provide health assessments, develop, implement, evaluate individualized plans for care, as well as, following emergency and contingency plans for mother and newborns.

The successful applicant will have strong time management abilities and flexibility to work varying shifts to include weekends, holidays, and call. Availability for up to two/three 24-hour call shifts and up to four/five office shifts per four week period preferred. Two plus years experience required. Current CNM licensure by the State of Vermont. EOE
