Gifford Medical Center in beautiful Randolph, Vermont, is seeking an Orthopaedic Coordinator to work in our multidisciplinary Operating Room. This is a unique opportunity to work in a spectacular se! tting at a rural, financially stable, non-profit hospital with a progressive philosophy, supportive administrative team and advanced technology.
You will assist surgeons with a variety of surgical procedures. Functions under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Complies with the objectives and policies of the hospital, AORN guidelines and with surgical services' standards of care. Duties include: providing assistance in the pre-operative phase, functioning as a liaison between the surgeon, vendor representatives and the operating room, providing scrub technician skills for all orthopaedic cases and ensuring preference cards are maintained appropriately. Required to work flexible hours, weekends and holidays.
The successful applicant will have the ability to perform effectively in a fast paced, high demand department. Effective oral and written communication skills along with visual and hearing senses to assist with varied operative procedures and surge! on's verbal directives are required. Experienced orthopaedic s! crub technician or Vermont licensed RN or LPN with orthopaedic experience and BLS certification required. EOE
