Description: Fletcher Allen Health Care is at the momment seeking for Event Specialist II right now, this vacancy will be placed in Vermont. The Event Specialist II is the lead position responsible for planning and implementing special event activities with support from Event Specialist I. The Event Specialist II will also act as a liaison with community members conducting third party events. The Event Specialist II is responsible for planning and implementing all activities related to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals (CMNH )including visiting and building relationships with all national partners, stewarding them to a level of major giving, developing new and creative fundraising opportunities and staying current on all CMNH related activities both nationally and locally. The Event Specialist II will serve in a lead role to develop strategies for cultivating CMNH partners with support from Event Specialist I. The Event Specialist will cultivate, solicit and manage an assigned group of CMNH corporate partners such as Walmart, Costco, Rite Aid, Kinney Drugs, etc. The Event Specialist II works with the Manager, Ops & Stewardship to review and evaluate all CMNH activities and special events to insure the highest possible return on investment for all events. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing the internal CMNH granting process, in close contact with the Vermont Children's Hospital Senior Administrative Coordinator. The Event Specialist II will support a productive and efficient CMNH program to secure annual funding for Vermont Children's Hospital priorities. The Event Specialist II will work closely with the Event Specialist I and Major Gift Officers to develop relationships with various donors and cultivate these relationships to result in increased fundraising. The Event Specialist II will work closely with physicians, nurses and administrative staff to develop a network of internal volunteers to assist with programs and activities.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management or Marketing preferred.

Experience:
Please Note:
3-6 years of fundraising or sales/marketing and professional event planning experience required.

Must have experience working with a non profit/ mission driven work

, and work that requires extensive attention to detail. Ideal candidate will have experience with fund raising software, ideally Raiser's Edge / Blackbaud. Prior experience in a healthcare setting or non-profit setting preferred.
