Location: Brattleboro Vermont
Description: Brattleboro Retreat is currently seeking to employ Nurse Practitioner/P.A. right now, this position will be placed in Vermont. Detailed specification about this position opportunity please read the description below. JOB SUMMARY: Performs admission intake assessments, physical exams, diagnosis and treatment of medical problems within scope of practice, collaborating with physicians for admission of patients to the inpatient units. Consults and manages medical problems for inpatient and residential clients. Provides education and consultation for disease prevention and management for patients and employees as appropriate. Provides physical evaluation, triage and/or treatment, health counseling/education for employees following employee health guidelines.
NON-ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
May be required to perform duties of lesser, equal or greater responsibility.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS :
Graduate of University based Nurse Practitioner Program (NLN approved).
National Certification as Family or Adult Nurse Practitioner.
Current Vermont RN License as Advanced Practice Nurse with Prescriptive privileges.
Current DEA License.
Masters of Science in Nursing.
