40 hours per week

The Surgical Services Director manages daily operations of Operating Room, Outpatient Departm! ent, Ambulatory Surgery/PACU and Central Sterile. The Director supervises functions and activities; interprets policies, prodedures, standards and regulations as appropriate.

Adheres to hospital policies and procedures, including but not limited to safety, infection control, personnel, and disaster.

Education:
BSN or Bachelor's Degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or related field, with current licensure in the State of Vermont.

Experience:
Five years OR experience. Minimum 2 years supervisory experience. Minimum 3 years staff experience.

Special Skills / Other:
On the job training. Pursues program of continuing education consistent with requirements of Northwestern Medical Center. Participates in educational conferences and updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of responsibility. Certified in OR nursing desired.
